The irrigation and Water Harvesting Research program at MARC is responsible for generating improved technologies, information, and knowledge regarding crop water requirements, optimal irrigation regimes, water saving, and water harvesting technologies that enhance agricultural productivity, and promote sustainable use of soil and water resources in irrigated agriculture. So far substantial research activities have been carried out in the area of crop water requirement, crop coefficient, and important aspects of water management including irrigation scheduling, deficit irrigation furrow techniques, irrigation methods, and performance assessment of irrigation schemes and the research results were published on different publications.
